JEFF VANVONDEREN is the executive director of Innerventions and of Spiritual Abuse Recovery Resources. He is an internationally known speaker on addictions and church and family wellness.
EMPLOYMENT
Jeff has worked as a counselor in both residential inpatient and out patient treatment settings, as well as in the religious community. He has been an Extended Adjunct Instructor at Bethel College in St. Paul, MN., as well as a Community Faculty Member for the University of Minnesota's Program for Individualized Learning. Jeff is the co-founder and former Director of Passages Counseling Center, a licensed out-patient mental health clinic in Minneapolis. He has served on the advisory boards of the National Association for Christian Recovery and Urban Ventures Foundation, and has memberships in the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselors, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and the Association of Intervention Specialists.
EDUCATION
Jeff has a B.A. in Communications and has earned a Master of Divinity Degree in Pastoral Ministries. He has received advanced training from the University of Utah School on Alcoholism and other Drug Dependencies, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the University of Minnesota, and Hazelden, in such areas as incest, child abuse, domestic violence, assessment of mental health disorders, family systems, and church and school involvement in education/prevention of chemical dependency.

Jeff is also the author of Good News for the Chemically Dependent (and those who love them), Tired of Trying to Measure Up, Families Where Grace is in Place, When God's People Let You Down, and the co-author of The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse. He has also been published in several journals. |
